I have something similar here. My lightdm is configured to autologin to an xbmc-standalone session. When I exit xbmc I expect to end up at the lightdm greeter, instead i get a black screen and the cross shaped mouse pointer.
Looking i the process list I see two lightdm processes, if i kill the younger one (higher pid) lightdm wakes up and gives me the greeter. If I kill the older one both processes dies and I have to run 'sudo start lightdm' which launches lightdm which in turn launches the xbmc session. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/886580 Title: lightdm freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/886580/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
