thanks for the bug report. Is that still an issue for you, if its still
an issue please start 'Ubuntu 2D' session from the login screen and then
start a terminal in 2D session and type 'unity --reset' it should reset
all unity settings, after that if unity starts for you, logout and again
try to login to 'Ubuntu' session and let us know of things work fine for
you.
