I think it was worse with my fresh installation around 23 December.
Maybe it has something do do with timings, because I'm using a ssd which
slowed down a little bit since I started using it on 23 December. Just a
feeling....

I ran a memtest for about 48h with no errors.

However, at least it does not logout when pressing the enter key any more. I 
don't know if there were any updates silently installed in the background.... I 
installed some packages like rsyncd which are loaded at boot but I don't see 
this has anything to do with the crashes.
I don't think this has something do to with gnome-shell because the crash when 
hitting enter occurs at the login, and gnome-shell is not in charge here...
