I have finally found the cause of this nasty bug, and squashed it! It
was caused by updating our icon theme (when launching), and for some
reason, any ClearLooksClassic control theme would stop drawing the icons
at that point. I re-arranged a few commands, and wait until the last
step to update the icon theme, and that seems to work great. This will
be included in version 1.4.1. Thanks!
