Created a Ubuntu 11.10 USB drive. Ubuntu seems to run just fine from it, on a couple of different computers no less.
Installation from the drive or from Ubuntu running from the drive goes well for a while and then the Error, "An attempt to configure apt to install additional packages from the CD failed." Close the dialog box and the message, "installation as successful", but when the computer restarts it hangs at "OS loading" with only the blinking underscore flashing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/874911 Title: [oneiric] Can't install Ubuntu from USB drive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/874911/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
