Jesse, I will also try newer kernels on a new ubuntu installation I´m going to 
make later.
Maybe I can get different results since it seems I´m the only one using the A4 
APU.

However I can only help you through the weekend.
This will be very helpful since newer catalyst drivers like 12.1 seem to be 
trouble for hardware. So the fglrx workaround might be no longer the best 
solution.

By the way, Bardok:
which release of Ubuntu are you using? I could try the kernels on Precise 
rather than Oneiric, to see if there are any differences.
