I can reproduce this on precise. However, I'm not sure it's a bug,
because for me it's useful to see that the main window is disabled while
working with the dialog. What you say sounds right, though. And you know
a lot more than me on this matters :)
As I told you on the other bug report, we are working on a new UI, so a
fix for the current client would probably be low priority.
