This is a persistent problem for me. Brand new box (but existing peripherals), clean install of Oneiric (updated regularly). I have a keyboard on the PS/2 socket, mouse and Wacom tablet on USB sockets at the rear of the case. On startup, if I let the screen saver kick in before I interact with the computer, the mouse is frozen, whilst all else is normal (so I use the Wacom tablet in place of mouse or, more often, reboot).
