Ok, when disabling splash and setting VGA=795 i get the following:
A string of the same error repeated: /sbin/usplash_write: not found
Then I get: /etc/lsb-base-
logging: line 125 (or 37): /sbin/usplash: Accessing a corrupted shared
library
Then after a long puse dispalying: Loading Hardware Drivers....
I get: *File system check failed
*A maintenance shell
will now be started
Bash: no job control
in this shell
Bash: Groups: command
not found
Bash: Lesspipe:
command not found
Bash: Dircolors:
command not found
Let me know if you can do something with this, if you need me to do something
else just ask.
