Yes, let's update this ASAP. Subscribing the release team to try and get
a freeze exception for this.

Looks to me like most of the changes in upstream git
(http://git.infradead.org/users/dwmw2/openconnect.git) look like bugfix
from a quick glance at the log, but there are some more involved code
changes (reworking NLS support, some new API (certificate expiry
warning, etc.)), but in general it seems like a rather safe and
obviously needed update at least for Kubuntu.
