We've fixed resume from hibernate in NetworkManager specifically in
Lucid or some similar release (Maverick maybe?). It of course depends on
proper support for hibernate by the hardware itself.
The symptoms you're describing look a lot like if there was
configuration in /etc/network/interfaces for the network devices. If
there is, please consider if it's something that can be removed. Such
configuration will be imported by marked "read-only" by NetworkManager
(because the interface is managed elsewhere).
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
