Aside that I wouldn't recommend computer-janitor, Oneiric uds removed it from 
standard app list, the request wasn't about offereing just another app which 
may clean-up older kernel images, Synaptic can do the same if a user interacts 
accordingly.
The removal request should come from the app which is supposed to run the 
upgrade in order to take users attention.
Although, if the weakness is user interaction, then I'd extend the request to 
remove kernel images automatically without user interaction, just keep the last 
two.
