For me, the following solved this particular problem (swap space assigned twice bug still exists):
:~$ sudo update-initramfs -u Password: update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.20-16-generic W: mdadm: unchecked configuration file: /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf W: mdadm: please read /usr/share/doc/mdadm/README.upgrading-2.5.3.gz . W: mdadm: no arrays defined in configuration file. W: mdadm: falling back to emergency procedure in initramfs. Because I do not have raid, I am not too worried about the mdadm messages, although I find them confusing. -- sata disk in ide mode with kernel 2.6.20-16-generic (ata_piix broken?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116996 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
