Thanks for the quick reply. That's just what I did. I changed user-dirs.dirs from XDG_DOCUMENTS_DIR="$HOME/" XDG_MUSIC_DIR="$HOME/" to XDG_MUSIC_DIR="/media/truecrypt1/Documents/Music/" ...
Now it worked. However, after reboot and new login, the user-dirs file is modified by Ubuntu to the wrong setting again. Probably XDG checks for existence of the directory, but it is only there after mount in truecrypt. So, there may be cases, in which the content of user-dirs.dirs is wrong and for these cases, I wanted to suggest that VLC should be robust, maybe with user-dirs.dirs as default, but with an optional definition of the "Music" / "Videos" folders independent of the OS. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/910265 Title: VLC Interface bugs: Skinned interface and "My Computer" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vlc/+bug/910265/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
