JS - I did this just now, but the same thing happened as when I tried this late last night - it says I have a development kernel (or similar words), and that I should download an official Ubuntu kernel if I want to run apport-collect and send the information to you. Then it collects the information with the note that it will be reported "upstream".
The kernel I'm running was loaded in response to Bug 956845, so see the 3/18/12 entries about that and about which v3.3 kernel I THINK I installed. Also, for that bug but I already have a request from you today to load from a "mainline" link for v3.3-precise. So I'm more than a little confused about my machine's status and exactly what I should do next.
