Thanks for your reply. I never really bothered with the nvidia drivers (and jockey never offered me any drivers either, presumably because I don't have the xorg-edgers ppa), as far as I'm aware I'm just using the Intel card and the discrete nvidia card is "not used". Is it because I'm using the Intel card (rather than the nvidia card) that the system is freezing? Also do I not need Bumblebee to use the nvidia card due to the Optimus technology?
