Theoretically, yes. They are pretty common in the robotics and 3D printer communities. I have one here (somewhere). However the USB connector on an arduino is just a USB serial port, using the common FTDI chip if I remember correctly. So, you can probably test just as effectively with a USB to serial port converter. I've not seen my Arduino clone hang Ubuntu, but I generally use it with a Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS machine, all my Lubuntu testing is in virtual machines right now. If I find my Arduino clone in the pile of other "interesting" electronics stuff, and dig out a spare old PC to install Lubuntu on, I'll test that combination. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/968942 Title: System freezes when plugging in a USB device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcmanfm/+bug/968942/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
