It takes a while to dig into a project and although I have invested a few time for 2 or 3 projects to fix a few bugs, I cannot dig into every project where I find bugs. I have to rely on others fixing it - of course just because of time and not because of being impossible - at least I can choose which projects are more important for me and of course they need to be programmed in a language that I am quite familiar with. > Proprietary code is notorious for being a steaming pile of crap held > together by truckloads of duct tape and the list of ancient bugs, that it's > authors never bother to fix until it's too late just goes on forever. Oh yes, how true! - I have written code that I knew will never be seen by others and other code I have written with the others in mind. Already the others in mind made my code cleaner and better documented.
