Understood. But the symptom experienced at the time was 'no flash plugin' reported by web browser.
Just looking at the times here in the logs, it looks like the dpkg install log showing time 10:35, but the flashplugin .so file has modified date 10:50 Does the new system of having smaller .postinst files mean that the process cannot complete in one single run? Just a bit of awareness really ... is /usr/lib/flashplugin- installer/install_plugin script triggered immediately or does it need a reboot? 2012-04-07 10:35:01 status half-configured flashplugin-installer 11.2.202.228ubuntu3 2012-04-07 10:35:01 status installed flashplugin-installer 11.2.202.228ubuntu3 29781 4 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Apr 7 10:50 /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/ 8412 18768 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 19216752 Apr 7 10:50 /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/libflashplayer.so ** Attachment added: "flashplugin.so modified" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashplugin-nonfree/+bug/975878/+attachment/3047645/+files/flashplugin__20120407dateCompare.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/975878 Title: flashplugin does not seem to download flash - postinst script wget?
