I was about to SRU this, but just wanted to ask why I can't reproduce in
my chroot. For me, I basically see this in the console (I removed
dependency info):

Selecting previously deselected package libcolord1.
Unpacking libcolord1 (from .../libcolord1_0.1.12-1ubuntu2.1_i386.deb) ...
Selecting previously deselected package colord.
Unpacking colord (from .../colord_0.1.12-1ubuntu2.1_i386.deb) ...
Setting up libcolord1 (0.1.12-1ubuntu2.1) ...
Setting up colord (0.1.12-1ubuntu2.1) ...
Adding system user `colord' (UID 101) ...
Adding new user `colord' (UID 101) with group `colord' ...
Creating home directory `/var/lib/colord' ...
Adding user colord to group scanner

So it looks like it gets created fine as part of adding the colord user.
In what situations does adding the colord user not create its home
folder?
