When you run npm, it crashes every time. I am using Precise (12.04) Beta 2, with updates as of 13 April 2012. I Googled and Debian had the same bug, see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=664660 . Debian fixed this by upgrading to a newer NPM.
I filed the crash bug as bug 980908. (You might want to close that as a dupe of this bug?) Is it possible to take a newer NPM this close to the release? If not, perhaps NPM should be dropped from Precise. Shipping a broken package doesn't seem very useful... ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #664660 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=664660 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/863094 Title: npm versions less than 1.1 will not work with registry.npmjs.org To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/npm/+bug/863094/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
