At some point in the last year or three, my HP ScanJet 3670 started
working under linux. I was so delighted! I even think I hunted down a
developer to throw a few bucks his way. Anyway, it was working fine in
LM11, moved to LM12. I actually have both installed, so I can test and
compare the results, when I boot into either system/partition. Still
works fine in a fully updated LM11. Doesn't work in LM12.

In LM12, sane-find-scanner finds the scanner. See:
____
found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0, product=0x1405, chip=GL646_HP?) at
libusb:001:011
found USB scanner (vendor=0x046d, product=0x0892) at libusb:001:005
  # Your USB scanner was (probably) detected. It may or may not be supported by
  # SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend's manpage.
____

But scanimage doesn't work:
____________
[genesys] SANE Genesys backend version 1.0 build 63 from sane-backends 1.0.22
[genesys] SANE Genesys backend built with libusb
[genesys] sane_init: authorize != null
[genesys] sane_init: little endian machine
[genesys] probe_genesys_devices: start
[genesys] attach: start: devp != NULL, may_wait = 0
[genesys] attach: trying to open device `libusb:001:011'
[genesys] attach: couldn't open device `libusb:001:011': Invalid argument
[genesys] attach: start: devp != NULL, may_wait = 0
________

Any thoughts?

THANKS!
