Hi Alvaro, Apologies if it was unclear, since my little laptopbox is incapable of Hires movies, I never considered or came across it. For some reason with Gnome3/XFCE/KDE installed on my lappy the dm was causing me issues and I couldnt get to a terminal yet with lightdm installed even when unity flipped out, at least I could with that
I am just applying todays patches which include some unity stuff so I am hoping this fixes the problem, right now the main problem I noticed since posting is that the window manager is there but not visible, and compiz is taking control of the window manager somehow as if I hold down alt-leftmouse I can move the windows about, alt-tab cycles through etc etc....
