Same Problem here with Macbook 6,1 One hint that might help to track down the problem. On my System (12.04 LTS Final) the folder /sys/class/backlight is completely empty. So i can't pass any Values to brightness Files. When i try to create a directory inside /sys/class/backlight with mkdir, it respondes with the message "file or directory not found" even as root. Touching a file gives the same error. Directory Permissions of /sys/class/backlight are: drwxr-xr-x an i can move into with cd
My Mac is booting from EFI Please tell me if I can help with any command-output. Also rebooting does not work on my system and tty0-6 are completely invisible, yet interactable. Is it possible that all these problems are linked to efi-boot?
