sforshee and all others. Removing nvidia-proprietary driver and switching to nouveau was the best advice i could get. Didn't know the nouveau project so far and just turned on the proprietary nvidia driver as usual after install. As I did for many years now ;) Brightness Settings work, even by Fn-Keys and my ttys are also back. And the best thing. Flawless Playback of Flash and 1080p movies. ;) nouveau is a great project.
