I'm sad to report the answer is "no".
U1 client shows "synchronisation in progress" then after a short while
"synchronisation complete".
Nothing has been brought down from the server.
All other aspects of tthe client report correct details [% of space
used, devices etc.]
Therefore, no change whatsover.
{10.04 is fully updated, 7 works in all other respects aok].
