Hey guys,
I was having this issue too using Ubuntu 12.04 and the 295.40 NVidia
drivers.
I added
Option "UseEvents" "False"
In the "Device" section of my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file .
It seems i'm not having any more crashes.. at least for now..
