** Description changed: Since I upgraded to Kubuntu 12.04 I started to experience this issue: after some hours of inactivity of my desktop, network connection suddenly disappears. This means that the server is not reachable anymore from the network. By inactivity I mean direct user input: connection sometimes stops when streaming data to the network. - After this happens, plugging in the mouse or simply pressing any button - on the keyboard makes the screen turn on (of course this is correct) and - the system is reachable again on the network. + After this happens, plugging in the mouse or simply pressing any button on the keyboard makes the screen turn on (of course this is correct) and the system is reachable again on the network. + --- + AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24. + ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu7 + Architecture: i386 + ArecordDevices: + **** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices **** + card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC268 Analog [ALC268 Analog] + Subdevices: 1/1 + Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USER PID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: luca 2117 F.... pulseaudio + Card0.Amixer.info: + Card hw:0 'Intel'/'HDA Intel at 0xd6500000 irq 47' + Mixer name : 'Realtek ALC268' + Components : 'HDA:10ec0268,1179ff1e,00100003 HDA:11c11040,11790001,00100200' + Controls : 21 + Simple ctrls : 11 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 + HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=e1ff528f-ec89-479d-9a4a-6e9d5458d36b + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100816.1) + MachineType: TOSHIBA Satellite Pro A300 + Package: linux (not installed) + ProcEnviron: + TERM=xterm + SHELL=/bin/bash + PATH=(custom, user) + LANG=en_US.UTF-8 + LANGUAGE= + ProcFB: 0 radeondrmfb + ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.2.0-24-generic root=UUID=4635bd6c-8c24-4f5f-b2f6-02c1bd5d5ec8 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-24.38-generic 3.2.16 + RelatedPackageVersions: + linux-restricted-modules-3.2.0-24-generic N/A + linux-backports-modules-3.2.0-24-generic N/A + linux-firmware 1.79 + SourcePackage: linux + Tags: precise precise + Uname: Linux 3.2.0-24-generic i686 + UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2012-04-28 (28 days ago) + UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lp lpadmin plugdev sambashare + dmi.bios.date: 12/07/2009 + dmi.bios.vendor: INSYDE + dmi.bios.version: 2.20 + dmi.board.asset.tag: Base Board Asset Tag + dmi.board.name: Portable PC + dmi.board.vendor: TOSHIBA + dmi.board.version: Base Board Version + dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag + dmi.chassis.type: 10 + dmi.chassis.vendor: Chassis Manufacturer + dmi.chassis.version: Chassis Version + dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnINSYDE:bvr2.20:bd12/07/2009:svnTOSHIBA:pnSatelliteProA300:pvrPSAGDE-02C002IT:rvnTOSHIBA:rnPortablePC:rvrBaseBoardVersion:cvnChassisManufacturer:ct10:cvrChassisVersion: + dmi.product.name: Satellite Pro A300 + dmi.product.version: PSAGDE-02C002IT + dmi.sys.vendor: TOSHIBA ** Attachment added: "AcpiTables.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/997767/+attachment/3164925/+files/AcpiTables.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/997767 Title: Network connection is lost after some hours of inactivity and comes up again on user interaction To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/997767/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
