this Bug is not fixed upstream.
see in the screenshot the panic/oops ? with mainline-kernel 3.4

it would be interesting if this bug affects more platforms as my dell. But I 
don have other laptops.

But here is my way to get affected by this Bug:
working some minutes without pluggedin AC on a laptop. then switch to 
Suspend-To-Ram,
after some hours!! (not minutes!!) then  resume, login and then plugin-ac...

Problem is that I cannot reproduce this bug if I Suspend-To-Ram and after only 
some minutes (10-20min are not enough) and then resume,login/plugin-AC!!

This Bug only appears if the time after Suspend-To-Ram is more than 2hours. 
This is only my opinion, but not sure at the moment :-(
