So, let's slashdot the situation, or somehow make Asus take action by other means.
I think we have a strong case. In Norway, if we can confirm that this is a BIOS bug, I can deliver this laptop back to the shop where I bought it and get a refund. I will probably have to fight for a couple of months, and write some letters, but I am willing to do that. But, the best would be if Asus could provide a BIOS update. Asus, if you hear me: I will get a refund and tell the world that your hardware is faulty. I will update every bug report and forum post and tell my story (there are quite a few).
