I've just (10 minutes) updated my ubuntu 12.04 with the last actualizations.
One of them updated modemmanager to 0.5.2 and promised to solve this bug (with
an explicit reference).
Restarted my system and everything goes on as it was yesterday. My Huawei modem
doesn't work with ubuntu 12.04. It just is not recognized by networkmanager.
lsusb shows the huawei modem, but I can't see it to connect my computer to the
web.
By the way, 2 months ago I was using 10.04 and it worked perfectly, and I've
got another computer with 10.04 and goes on working. So is not a problem of the
modem.
The fix released simply doesn't fix anything :(
