Hi,

I'm not sure if it is relevant or just red herrings, but fyi some
observations about the machine:

- on a freshly booted system I don't get the .gvfs error message on 'df'.
- There's a couple lightdm zombie processes about (due to failed logins?)
there's another launchpad bug report that talks about that.
- some users have sshfs'd into remote servers and those are running.
- I see the same issue on multiple precise machines. (all with similar setups)
- unity-greeter apt-get updated to a new version today, we'll see if that helps
with the zombies.
- a couple apparmor messages involving lightdm in `dmesg`, not sure if related.
I suspect it was just a user trying to plug in a usb drive from the Guest
account, as mount, mkdir, and 'open' were the operations denied.

maybe it helps.. I'll try rebooting to clear it and do some more
experimentation.

thanks,
Hamish
