> on one of the machines showing this I've just now purged unity- greeter, we'll see how it goes after reboot. ok, on the machine where unity-greeter was purged I still see the error when running `df` 1 minute after boot up. I've ssh'd in, not locally logged in. `sudo df` does not show the Permission denied error, but `sudo ls -la /var/lib/lightdm/`does show the .gvfs there with all file properties as "? ? ?". After `sudo /etc/init.d/lightdm stop` the "Permission denied" error message when `df`ing goes away and the .gvfs becomes a normal empty directory.
