Robert, I contact with Beagleboard RMA team, they give me a patch kernel here http://dominion.thruhere.net/koen/angstrom/beagleboard/usbfix/ . I tried it, same issue. Does not solve my problem.
I believe the kernel they send me has the patch in it. They give me the same link you give me. Currently, I don't now how to compile the kernel. I am still learning it. Anyway, RMA team let me send the board to them to check it. Maybe it is a hardware issue, instead of software. Thank you for your fast response. --Yang Cui Department of Chemistry University of Illinois at Chicago 845 W Taylor St, Rm 4500 SES Chicago, IL 60607-7061 On Wed, Jun 6, 2012 at 6:22 PM, Robert Nelson <[email protected]>wrote: > Hi Yang, > > Please retest with: http://rcn- > ee.homeip.net:81/testing/beagleboard/sprz319-erratum-2.1/ > > As this is the same patch referenced in: > http://osdir.com/ml/beagleboard/2012-02/msg01309.html > > Regards, > > -- > You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug > report. > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1007651 > > Title: > USB Large File Transfer Error via Samba > > Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: > Incomplete > > Bug description: > Continuous transfer large files over ethernet to a USB device using > Samba causes USB devices to fail. > > The bug is about the unstable usb driver or ethernet driver.
