** Description changed: After upgrading from 11.10 to 12.04 on a Dell Inspiron 1501 64-bit, ATI x1300 graphics, the resume is at best intermittent. Most times it fails with a kernel panic (guessing here - only symptoms are black screen and flashing Caps-Lock/Num-Lock lights). Hard restart is needed afterwards = holding down the power button for 8 seconds and repowering. - As of writing this has all the most recent updates - but no joy on - suspend/resume. + As of writing this has all the most recent updates - but no joy on suspend/resume. + --- + AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24. + AplayDevices: + **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** + card 0: SB [HDA ATI SB], device 0: STAC92xx Analog [STAC92xx Analog] + Subdevices: 1/1 + Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 + ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu8 + Architecture: amd64 + ArecordDevices: + **** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices **** + card 0: SB [HDA ATI SB], device 0: STAC92xx Analog [STAC92xx Analog] + Subdevices: 1/1 + Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USER PID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: tom 2518 F.... pulseaudio + /dev/snd/seq: timidity 1916 F.... timidity + Card0.Amixer.info: + Card hw:0 'SB'/'HDA ATI SB at 0xc0000000 irq 16' + Mixer name : 'SigmaTel STAC9200' + Components : 'HDA:14f12bfa,14f100c3,00090000 HDA:83847690,102801f5,00102201' + Controls : 9 + Simple ctrls : 5 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 + HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=1491d9eb-31be-4e08-a9c0-91f1a92ab12b + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release amd64 (20110427.1) + MachineType: Dell Inc.
