Can you run the following command in a terminal window: cp /etc/cups/ppd/dbwcrrr.ppd ~
Then edit dbwcrrr.ppd in your home directory, replacing *cupsFilter: "application/vnd.cups-postscript 0 /usr/Brother/Printer/hl4070cdw/cupswrapper/brlpdwrapper_hl4070cdw" by *cupsFilter: "application/vnd.cups-postscript 0 -" After that run the following commands: cupsctl FileDevice=yes lpadmin -p test -E -v file:/tmp/printout -P ~/dbwcrrr.ppd Now do tests of comment #1 again but with the print queue "test". After each test copy the file /tmp/printout and attch the four /tmp/printout files to this bug report. The files should be PostScript files, so you can have a look into them with evince, gv, or gs. Also attach your PPD file, /etc/cups/ppd/dbwcrrr.ppd. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1009709 Title: printing text files - pdftops problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups-filters/+bug/1009709/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
