Thank you for replying. So as I understand it, in order to get at least
usb working (without the cardreader) I can install stock ubuntu 12.04
and blacklist the "rts5139.ko" file? in here:
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

If that's not what you mean then how does one remove a file from the
kernel? Is it just another file somewhere to delete? Sorry if this
should be obvious, I'm not that versed in linux yet. To me a computer is
more a tool than a toy.
