Hi, got the log. What I've done: 1 ) open Amarok, find a playable song (took some minutes, sorry for that, had to mount volumes first and reload library), 2 ) play it succesfully for ~30s or something similar 3 ) opened Audacity while music was playing -> broken audio with harsh sound coming out from it already, subject of this bug (and this is still going on now after having taken the logfile, restarted pulseaudio and so on, it will work again after reboot) 4 ) tried to load a file on Audacity and play it, no changes 5 ) tried to pause/start audio on Amarok (was still playing as per gui), no changes 6 ) tried to mute audio from the notify bar, and activate it again, no changes. End of the log.
Hope it helps fixing it. ** Attachment added: "pulseaudio log as per request and instructions here https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio/Log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1017095/+attachment/3210538/+files/pulseverbose.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1017095 Title: [Audigy2 - SB Audigy 2 Platinum [SB0240P], playback] fails after a while To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1017095/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
