Don't know how/if I can edit comment #5. I said "harsh sound coming out", but it might be more precise to say that as far as problem appears no expected sound is coming from the output, it sizzles, or outputs a hissing sound only all the time, the sizzle stops and immediately restarts if you kill and make pulseaudio autorestart.
