I'm slightly puzzled as to why this bug hasn't received more attention, since not being able to access the internet is a major problem. Surely that's a dealbreaker for most people? So I'm wondering if for some reason it only affects a subset of users (despite Peter Curtis in post #4 coming up against the same bug on four different computers).
My laptop is a Toshiba Z830, and if it makes any difference (I doubt it) my mobile provider is ASDA mobile (uses Vodafone network), and I'm in the UK. I had no problem at all using Ubuntu 10.04. The wizard and everything worked out of the box. I'm now using Ubuntu (actually Xubuntu) 12.04, and I can't get mobile internet to work at all. I wonder if the problem is related to bluetooth itself, since that periodically crashes of its own accord. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/952776 Title: bluetooth tether DUN fail launch wizard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/952776/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
