The problem has been identified in the greek nautilus translation. Some special characters where not translated correctly.
No. 236, was missing a %'d 236. English: Moving file %'d of %'d (in "%B") to "%B" Current Greek: Μεταφορά %'d από (από το "%B") στο "%B" No. 239, the %'d was right after a word 239. English: Moving file %'d of %'d to "%B" Current Greek: Μεταφορά αρχείου%'d από %'d στο "%B" After contacting the Ubuntu Greek Translator team a corrected translation of the above strings was suggested and approved. Then i tested it by generating a local copy with msgfmt nautilus.po -o nautilus.mo, and overwriting the current translation file at: /usr/share/locale-langpack/el/LC_MESSAGES/ I have tested this in 2 different PC's (one with Ubuntu 12.04/Unity, and one with Xubuntu 12.04 with nautilus) which where affected by this problem an it seems that there is no crash anymore. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1019845 Title: Nautilus crashes when moving/cut-paste/drag-drop 1 file or folder To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1019845/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
