For the first time since I've owned this notebook I'm able to have
ubuntu installed thanks to that post. Every linux distro I've tried
hasn't worked. I've been using linux for 8 years and it really bugged me
to be forced to use windows instead of linux which I prefer. BSD distros
did work fine by default. I can't understand why this bug has been
ignored all of this time and this kernel problem hasn't been resolved.
