It seems you have enabled auto login, so the "default" password keyring
is not unlocked by default.

Try opening the "Passwords and Keys" application (or "seahorse" from the
command line), to check the settings of your password keyring. A keyring
named "Passwords: login" is usually unlocked with your login password at
the moment you log in, but if you have enabled auto login, no keyring is
unlocked.

You may try setting an empty password for your default password keyring
(right click on "Passwords: default"), but keep in mind this is not
recommended from a security perspective since anybody with access to
your computer can get hold of all your stored passwords, even if the
computer is locked or off.
