Sure, Tribe 2 will be out shortly, and testing after that point will be
valuable.

Yes, there are some minor changes that are made in the Ubuntu packaging
beyond the fglrx proprietary package, however nothing that would affect
this crash.  If you've hand-installed the driver and found it crashed,
then that's a very good sign that the released fix is not likely to be
related to your crash.
