** Description changed: Suspend/Resume used to work correctly in Maverick (i.e. it worked 9 times out of 10 which I considered "correct"). Since the upgrade to Natty it works properly after a fresh reboot (i.e. for the first time), but it does not work for the second time, when the system was already suspended+resumed before. In this case during suspend time (after pressing the suspend button on the keyboard) the screen goes blank (black), it no longer responds to pings on the network, but the system does not stop (i.e. fans are still going, no "shutdown" feeling).
