matteo sisti sette, thank you for responding to my request for
information.

+ However, you did not respond to part of my request noted in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/975316/comments/7 :
>"as a potential WORKAROUND, could you please comment on how ndiswrapper works
>for you following
>https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper ?"

Could you please comment as to if this provides a WORKAROUND for you?

+ As well, regarding your tag change noted in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/975316/comments/7 :
tags:   added: kernel-unable-to-test-upstream
removed: needs-upstream-testing

Could you please comment specifically why you were unable to test the
upstream mainline kernel?

+ Regarding your comments
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/975316/comments/8 :
"And for god's sake, who is deciding the importance of bugs?? I insist this is
critical (note this can leave you without internet connection where everybody
else with any other OS would have it)"

Importance is decided by Ubuntu Bug Control and Ubuntu Kernel Team policies.
For more on this, please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Importance . With
this in mind, this bug fits the definition for High :
"A problem with an essential hardware component (built-in networking)"

For now, I am authorized to toggle this to Importance High, but no
higher then this.

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Medium => High

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: Confirmed => Incomplete
