I just tested with a clean profile like this:
$ mkdir test-profile
$ cd test-profile
$ HOME=$(pwd) firefox --no-remote
"http://hyphenator.googlecode.com/svn/dictChecker.html";
No language is hyphenated. Tools add-ons manager - Languages says I have
English (GB) and Suomenkielinen (FI) Language pack installed but neither
English or Finnish is hyphenated.
