I solved my problem by setting "chmod 444" on the certificate and key files, after which "apt-get -f install" worked perfectly. I had previously set "chmod 400".
I assume this problem was just waiting for slapd to be restarted before biting me, and it just happened to be this update that triggered it. My understanding was that 400 was the correct setting for the keyfile, but I will do more research. My sincere apologies if my posts have been a distraction from the OP's problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1032721 Title: package slapd 2.4.28-1.1ubuntu4.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openldap/+bug/1032721/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
