apport information ** Package changed: linux (Ubuntu) => udev (Ubuntu)
** Description changed: i have a combination of a Logitech K520 + mouse M310. Sometimes , there is no issue to work with them, but most of the time both are not working stable: the mousepointer does not move smoothly, or the keyboard does not type anymore. (or sometimes it takes 3 seconds before part of the characters come on screen). It looks like this combination does not have a problem on my Ubuntu 11.04 system(32bit), but on my latest system Ubuntu Precise (64bit) it does not work properly. searching in forums, i followed the advice to 1. update my kernel to 3.4.0 2. due to another bug (1036999), i got the advice to do an update/upgrade in recovery mode. So my system is up to date. --- ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu12 Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release amd64 (20120425) Package: linux (not installed) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=nl_BE:nl TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=nl_BE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash Tags: precise running-unity Uname: Linux 3.4.0-030400-generic x86_64 UnreportableReason: The running kernel is not an Ubuntu kernel UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: vboxusers + --- + ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu12 + Architecture: amd64 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release amd64 (20120425) + MachineType: MSI MS-7751 + Package: udev 175-0ubuntu9.1 + PackageArchitecture: amd64 + ProcEnviron: + LANGUAGE=nl_BE:nl + TERM=xterm + PATH=(custom, no user) + LANG=nl_BE.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.4.0-030400-generic root=UUID=926f5abc-dc5a-4b7a-9fa2-654a16e7b9db ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 + Tags: precise running-unity + Uname: Linux 3.4.0-030400-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo users vboxusers + dmi.bios.date: 02/08/2012 + dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. + dmi.bios.version: V10.0 + dmi.board.asset.tag: To be filled by O.E.M. + dmi.board.name: Z77A-GD65 (MS-7751) + dmi.board.vendor: MSI + dmi.board.version: 2.0 + dmi.chassis.asset.tag: To Be Filled By O.E.M. + dmi.chassis.type: 3 + dmi.chassis.vendor: MSI + dmi.chassis.version: 2.0 + dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvrV10.0:bd02/08/2012:svnMSI:pnMS-7751:pvr2.0:rvnMSI:rnZ77A-GD65(MS-7751):rvr2.0:cvnMSI:ct3:cvr2.0: + dmi.product.name: MS-7751 + dmi.product.version: 2.0 + dmi.sys.vendor: MSI ** Attachment added: "BootDmesg.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1037149/+attachment/3263557/+files/BootDmesg.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1037149 Title: Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse not working stable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udev/+bug/1037149/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
