Sorry ,but it is not helping me.it gives(I have also tried commands from
"https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/346386";):
1)sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/*
rm: cannot remove `/var/lib/apt/lists/partial': Is a directory
2) sudo /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo: /etc/apt/sources.list: command not found
3)vaio@ubuntu:~$ apt-cache policy apt

sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
after this error again on updating
nothing seems to be working out by commands which solved this problems
for many.Please help me with this.
